ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

The Official website of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities(SCPD), Odisha has been built with an aim to provide maximum accessibility and usability to its visitors.

 

This website can be viewed from a variety of devices such as Desktop / Laptop computers, web-enabled mobile devices, WAP phones, PDAs, etc.However, currently Portable Document Format(PDF) files are not fully accessible.

 

We aim to be standards compliant and follow principles of usability and universal design, which should help all visitors of this website.

 

 

 

MESSAGE OF THE STATE COMMISSIONER

For the Person with Disability (PwD), the Constitution of India mandated Equality of status and opportunity. It becomes meaningful only when they are able to access information and facilities. State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities of Odisha, is  now able to provide a giant leap but a small step towards an “access for all” world. This website has the additional support of auditory description, scope for magnification and e-registration and tracking of complaints. Through internet connectivity we will reach out to every corner of Odisha on a 24X7 basis.

 

 

 

                                           

 

ABOUT THE OFFICE OF THE STATE COMMISSIONER

The office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Odisha has been set up under Section 60 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights & Full Participation) Act, 1995 and has been mandated to take steps to safeguard the rights of persons with disabilities. The State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities is Dr. Minati Behera.
